Kelsey Barnard Clark rose to cultural prominence after her appearance and ultimate victory on season 16 of Top Chef. A born and raised southerner from Alabama, winning Top Chef: Kentucky was a fitting tribute to southern cooks.
During the season, Kelsey was able to showcase her skills and passion for southern cooking with an updated modern twist while also respecting and revering the classics.
For her first cookbook, Kelsey gives us a beautiful selection of over 100 recipes that utilize staple southern ingredients. From corn to collards, ribs to roast chicken, and a plethora of quintessential desserts, there is no shortage of mouthwatering favorites.
For our April meetup, we have created the following menu. Some of these dishes can be easily modified to be vegetarian or vegan with a few tweaks. If you make any changes, please bring a note card for your recipe indicating the substitutions you made.

We want to make sure everyone has a few choices to pick from even if they’re the last one to select a dish, so we’ve provided more options than the number of attendees for each meetup. This means that not every item on the menu will be made, but we will be sure to provide a final menu to all attendees once everyone has made their selection.
If you’d like to join us for our April meetup, please register below. Once all the slots have been filled, we will send out a recipe signup sheet where you can select your dish.
We cannot wait to gather around the table and share a meal with you!
