how to order


Custom Orders

All of our cakes, cupcakes, buttercreams, and fillings are made from scratch and require quite a bit of advanced planning. To make sure we can continue to deliver on our promise of high quality desserts, we require a minimum of two-weeks’ notice for all orders (the more notice the better). Please keep in mind that we cannot guarantee availability as we are a one-person operation and can only take on a limited number of orders per week.

To avoid disappointment, please be sure to book as far in advance as possible since most weekends book up quickly. Please visit the Availability Calendar tab for the most up-to-date booking information.


Trademarked Designs

Due to copyright law, we are unable to create cakes with trademarked characters and logos. This includes, but is not limited to, cartoon characters, video game characters, company logos, sports team logos, and any other intellectual property that would require licensing from the copyright holder. We can, however, create a cake with colors that match the theme of your event to create a cohesive feel and leave room on the cake where you can place a topper and/or figurines of your choosing.

You may utilize this guide to help you determine what cake size to order. If you’re unsure, just let us know in the Cake Inquiry Form how many people you need to serve and we will recommend the best size for the number of guests you’re anticipating.

  • Small: 6" | 12-14 servings (starts at $130)

  • Medium: 8" | 20-24 servings (starts at $180)

  • Large: 10" | 28-38 servings (starts at $230)


Cupcake bouquet Size guide

You may utilize this guide to help you determine what bouquet size to order. If you’re unsure, just let us know in the Cupcake Bouquet Inquiry Form how many people you need to serve and we will recommend the best size for the number of guests you’re anticipating.

  • Small | Serves 7 (starts at $60)

  • Medium | Serves 12 (starts at $100)

  • Large | Serves 19 (starts at $160)


Pricing

Every single component of each cake and cupcake is made from scratch and in small batches, and every buttercream detail is individually piped by hand. Custom cakes are priced individually and the starting prices are a guide to give you an idea of what to expect. The final price will depend on size and level of intricacy.

CAKES
The final price is based on the design you are looking for. The more detailed and labor-intensive the cake, the higher the price. There are instances in which a small, highly detailed cake may cost more per serving than a larger, simpler cake. For gluten-friendly cakes, there is an additional fee depending on the cake size.

CUPCAKES
Similar to cakes, the starting price for cupcakes is based on the quantity and the final price depends on the types of flowers you select as each flower requires a different amount of labor. For gluten-friendly cupcakes, there is an additional fee depending on the number of cupcakes.

CUPCAKE BOUQUETS
The starting price for cupcake bouquets is based on the size and the final price depends on the types of flowers you select as each flower requires a different amount of labor. For gluten-friendly bouquets, there is an additional fee depending on the size.

MACARONS
We offer 2 styles of macarons: classic plain and hand-painted florals. Each style requires a different level of workmanship and pricing is based on the intricacy of the design.

Inquiry form

  1. To request your order, please submit an Inquiry Form. Once your request has been reviewed and approved, we will email you a quote.

  2. If you selected “I’ll send inspiration photos” in the inquiry form, please email your photos to hello@karinasconfectioneries.com with your first and last names in the subject field so we can easily connect it back to your completed inquiry form. Although we love to draw inspiration from fellow cake artists, we very much respect their work and will not make exact replicas of the cakes you send us. The photos are simply to give us an idea of the styles and colors you like so we can create something unique to you.

  3. Once you have approved your quote, we will send you an invoice at which point you will have 48 hours to review the quote and make a 50% non-refundable deposit to guarantee your reservation. Final payment is due 14 days prior to your reservation date. If the final balance is not received by the due date, your order will be cancelled and your 50% deposit will be forfeited.


Allergy Info

Please be sure to let us know if there are any food allergies we should be aware of. We offer a number of flavors that do not contain nuts. However, please keep in mind that all of our delicious creations are prepared in a shared kitchen setting where common allergens are processed and we are, unfortunately, unable to cater to specific, severe allergy requirements. Most of our desserts may contain traces of nuts and all (unless otherwise stated) will contain dairy products.


deposits

In order to guarantee your reservation date, we require a deposit of 50% of the total amount due on your invoice. The deposit is non-refundable if cancelling 45 days or less before your reservation date.


editing orders

You can make minor changes to your order up to 14 days prior to your reservation date. Please use the Contact Form at the bottom of the home page or email us directly at hello@karinasconfectioneries.com with the changes you’d like to make. We will review your request and let you know whether we can accommodate the changes and if they will affect the price of your order.


refunds and returns

Due to the custom-made nature of our products, we are unable to provide refunds or exchanges on any of our items. However, if for any reason you are dissatisfied with your order, please let us know right away and we will do everything in our power to make it right for you.


cancellations

All sales are final with the exception of orders cancelled with sufficient notice. Our cancellation policy works as follows:

  • Cancelling 14 days or less before reservation date: we will charge the full price of the order

  • Cancelling between 15 and 45 days before reservation date: 50% deposit is non-refundable and will be forfeited

  • Cancelling 45 days or more before reservation date: we will offer you a full refund

  • If your event is cancelled at the last minute for reasons beyond your control (such as inclement weather or an emergency situation), you may receive a partial refund (minus 25% administrative fee) with immediate notice OR credit towards a future order


DELIVERY & Setup

We operate out of a shared commercial kitchen without a dedicated, guest-facing storefront and, therefore, we are currently a delivery-only operation.

We offer complimentary delivery anywhere within Ocoee, Winter Garden, Windermere, and Dr. Phillips.

For deliveries outside of these areas, our delivery fee works as follows:

  • Up to 15 miles from 354 Story Rd, Ocoee, FL 34761, there is a $5 flat rate delivery fee

  • Between 16 miles and up to 30 miles away from 354 Story Rd, Ocoee, FL 34761, there is a $10 flat rate delivery fee

  • Deliveries beyond 30 miles from 354 Story Rd, Ocoee, FL 34761, there is a $10 base rate plus $2 per additional mile

The delivery fee covers mileage, tolls, gas costs, vehicle usage and the time taken to deliver.

For orders requiring setup, there is a $20 base fee for all orders. Any setup requiring more than 1 hour will incur an additional fee of $20 per hour. If the actual setup time takes longer than estimated due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to changes to the expected layout, delays caused by the customer and/or their representatives, delays caused by the venue, etc, you agree to be billed and pay for the additional time at the rate of $20 per hour.
